Thispaper is the implementation of fingerprint recognition system in which the matching is done using theMinutiae points. The methodology is the extracting & applying matching procedure on the Minutiae pointsbetween the sample fingerprint & fingerprint underquestion. The main functional blocks of this systemfollows steps of Image Thinning, Image Segmentation, Minutiae (feature) point Extraction, & Minutiaepoint Matching. The procedure of Enhanced Thinning included for the purpose of decreasing the size ofthememory space used by the fingerprint image database
